Kangertittivatsiaq & Nordjford

We are still dawdling up the east coast of Greenland, possibly hoping that the ice blocking Scoresby Sund will move along and get out of our way.

Sheila's cold was not improved by yesterday's cold trip in the Zodiac, so we elected to skip both excursions today.  It was colder (3C/37F), plus a bit of a breeze, and there's a lot of the trip left. Best not to get too sick at the beginning!

But, it's still possible to take pictures from the ship!

Our first stop was in Kangertittivatsiaq Fjord. The Zodiacs went out to cruise around the many small icebergs.

Then during lunch, we sailed a bit farther, to Nordfjord, and people went ashore in 3 different groups for hiking--Active, Moderate, or Beachcomber levels.  Again, bearing in mind that it was chilly out, we opted to stay on the ship and enjoy the similar but still different scenery.

 

Sheila took advantage of the time aboard to visit the ship's doctor, and got some Robitussin...which she can assure you tastes just as vile here as at home.

Not a very exciting day, but still plenty to see and do.  Tomorrow will be a day at sea, making up some time, so there may not be much to report, but we will see.
